Myth #4: Manufactured Homes Are Too Expensive

Manufactured homes cost around $92,911 for a new manufactured home and $60,733 for a used manufactured home, based on 2021 sales data from Datacomp. Site-built homes, meanwhile, are often much higher. The average is $408,000, according to 2021 Statista data. 

The cost of living for a manufactured home may vary if you live in a community. Communities usually charge “lot rent” when you lease the land your home sits on. Even then, you’ll find that manufactured homes are much cheaper than site-built homes in the long run.

Myth #5: It’s Too Hard to Find Manufactured Homes Near Me
